Grading System Used for All Golf Balls

MINT balls are the highest quality ball in the marketplace. Balls are new in appearance and will feel, play, and look identical to a new ball. A few may contain a logo or a minor player pen marking. These balls are “One Hit Wonders” as they were most likely lost after the first swing.

AAAA balls would be MINT if it were not for one minor cosmetic flaw. These balls have less than 2 dimples of a surface imperfection or slight blemish. Some will have a logo and some will have a minor player pen marking.

AAA+ balls will have some minor imperfection, a scratch, slight blemishes and might not have the original luster. These balls will have no more that 2-3 dimples of imperfection. Some will contain player pen markings and some will have a logo.

AAA balls have imperfections like a scratch, minor wedge mark, and slight ball discoloration. Some will contain player pen markings and some will have a logo.

AAA- balls have more major imperfections like a scratch, wedge mark, scuff mark, ball discoloration, or 1-2 dimples of paint chip. These balls look like new balls that have been played for 9 holes. Some will contain player pen markings and some will have a logo.

AA balls are great to practice with or for use on holes with water hazards. These balls may have scrapes, wedge scuffs, cart path scuffs, minor paint bubbles, minor paint peel, discoloration , player ink marks and logos.

SHAG balls contain everything the AA balls but are a worse grade. None contain cuts but do have several problems. I normally do not even bother to sell these because it is too much work to wash them and go through the effort of selling them.

None of my GOLF BALLS are X-OUTS, REFINISHED BALLS, OR PRACTICE BALLS.

Each and Every Golf Ball is hand inspected for quality and grading and cleaned to perfection. When in doubt I put the ball in the lower grade.

AAAA Quality
LostGolfBalls's AAAA balls are in good condition with 2-3 dimples of slight cosmetic blemish or minor imperfection. They will include team or corporate logo ball and/or player pen marking. These balls are similar to a new ball after being played for 3-4 holes. The shine and color of the balls may slightly vary, but the integrity of the flight characteristic is not compromised at all.

AAA Quality
LostGolfBalls's AAA balls are slightly scuffed or blemished balls that may have minor discoloration. One might find a few good quality x-outs or practice balls in the mix. They will include a team or corporate logo ball and/or player marking. No cuts will be found in AAA golf balls. These balls are similar to a ball that has been played for 9 or more holes.

AA Quality
LostGolfBalls's AA balls will look worn and discolored, with most having scuffs or blemishes. It is appropriate for range and green practice. They will include a team or corporate logo ball and/or player marking and will look similar to a ball that was played for 18 holes.
